After sitting derelict for years, demolition work commenced over at Fraser Court in Kingston this week. The whole site has been surrounded by a second layer of fencing, complete with razor wire while (de)construction equipment rolls through the complex ripping up trees and smashing brick and glass to rubble and dust.
Best known to anyone outside the postcode as “that place where the guy got murdered with the baseball bat”, locals will remember it for a much wider range of dodginess. Car break-ins, for example, dropped noticeably when its last residents were relocated.
No word yet on what will replace the complex.

hooray!
There’s going to be 220 units built on the site according to the letter sent to local property owners. Apparently.
Guess I better invest in some ear-plugs
